A few days ago, actually Monday July 22nd. Tesla and Mötley Crüe played at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. I went sort of last minute to the show and ended up missing Tesla sadly but I did get to see the Mötley Crüe show. I didn't get any pictures myself but Lisa Sokol (@bettiepagegurl on twitter) has provided some. All photos below are her property and used with permission.
The show was great and it seemed like the band was having a great time. This show was also the last show on their short Midwest tour. There was standing room only at the show! It was amazing. This was an outside show, part of their sizzlin' summer concert series at Soaring Eagle. You could hear them play from inside the casino as well.
The band was on par, lots of lights, smoke/fog, and great music, it was a good night minus all of the drunk people but that is to be expected at an outdoors summer concert. This was the first time Mötley Crüe as a whole has played the casino, Vince and his solo band have played there twice. I was also at these shows and yet again they do not disappoint!
I must say though I have been to this casino hundreds of times for shows, concerts, and vacations and I have NEVER seen the place that filthy! I understand there were thousands of extra people there but it was downright digusting. None the less I will be going back in September for another show. Who knows maybe I will see some of you there.
